It’s been a couple of weeks since my last blog entry and the reason is … well, I haven’t had much to report. Oh, stuff has been going on for sure, but nothing I felt I should enter here. Well, maybe it’s interesting, maybe it isn’t.

The damn world situation is still in the shits, what with a recent North Korean ICBM missle test, and lets not forget a whole bunch of pissant “pirates” grabbing ships in the Gulf of Aden. (Geeze, how tough is it to figure out that at least some ship crews should be trained in weapons and repelling boarders? It is amazing, not to mention awesome, what a 12-gauge shotgun, loaded with double ought buckshot at 10 or 15 feet will do to dissuade an unfriendly “guest” … to leave.

Of course, I should be careful of what I say here, lest I be placed on a “watch list” of “folks to keep an eye on” according to our Director of Homeland Security. You hear about that yet? You know, the report that Janet Napolitano authorized sending out to law enforcement agencies nationwide? Yes, we combat and military veterans are a real potential THREAT … potential RADICALS, according to Ms. Napolitano. Well, after this report became public knowledge Ms. Napolitano was quick to add “that she and her department respects and honors veterans.”  Hmm, yeah, I’m sure.

Oh yes, there was another “minor” news blip of late, The TEA Parties. It seems like a whole bunch of folks are somewhat pissed about the direction our new administration is taking … not to mention those billions and trillions of dollars are being spent. I followed the news stories on the 15th of April (and wasn’t it funny, the 15th was TAX DAY … pay Uncle Sam what’s owed him) and these TEA Parties were taking place all across the fruited plain. What I saw (and in full disclosure I watched the FOX News Channel) seemed to be a crystallizing of public anger at the direction the Obama Administration is taking the country. A lot of people seemed to be pissed about a number of what appeared to be gaffes by our new President. ( for ex. his bowing to the Saudi king,

continued bailouts of banks and corps., not to mention doing away with the War on Terror and changing over to the Overseas Contingency Operation! ) Terrorist Acts are no longer Terrorist Acts, they are now Manmade Disasters. Oh yeah, military veterans (uh, American Military Veterans) are now potential TERRORIST’S Recruits susceptible to Right Wing Racist ideology. I wonder if the DHS issued a report on our President’s friendship with a convicted terrorist, Bill Ayers. You recall him, don’t you? The guy who back in the ’70′s, along with his now wife, deployed bombs in numerous attempts to blow up government buildings, police stations and kill cops? Now that son-uv-a -bitch is a college professor.

Well anyway, I managed to get the full scoop courtesy of Janeane Garofalo. It seems Ms. Garofalo was on “Meltdown”–Oops, sorry, “The Countdown”… that’s the Countdown with Keith Olbermann –and she UNLOADED. You know all those Tea Parties that took place all across the U.S.? Well, those Tea Parties were all attended by redneck racists who hate a black president. Ah, hell, let me have her tell you:

“Let’s be very honest about what this is about. This is not about bashing Democrats. It’s not about taxes. They have no idea what the Boston Tea Party was about. They don’t know their history at all. It’s about hating a black man in the White House,” she said on MSNBC’s “The Countdown” with Keith Olbermann Thursday evening. “This is racism straight up and is nothing but a bunch of teabagging rednecks. There is no way around that.”

Hmm … not sure I would want to buy a used car from her, she seems downright enraged! Pissed off even. Now isn’t that funny? I mean odd, not humorous. I thought all those leftists were supposed to be enlightened, even-minded, open to discussion and an exchange of ideas. But!! It seems to me that most of those to the political left are all pissed, angry, out to get those political conservative folks. You get the feeling that things are …. topsy-turvy? Hell, it’s springtime. The flowers and fruits and veggies are blooming, the weather is warming up, the birds are singing. Hey, people! Take a chill pill, relax and smell the damn flowers. I’ve had enough anger in my life, I don’t need it blasted at me 24/7! Maybe I will write Ms. Napolitano and Ms. Garofalo and remind them they can say all those dumbass things they continually spout because of us military veterans. I think they need a reminder.
